Nu Horizons and Finisar Expand Distribution Agreement into
Australia and New Zealand

Singapore – 16 January 2008 - Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC), a leading global distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display, illumination, power and system solutions, today announced the expansion of their distribution agreement with Finisar Corporation (NASDAQ:FNSR), a technology leader in fiber optic solutions for high-speed networks, into the countries of Australia and New Zealand. Nu Horizons previously distributed Finisar's products throughout North America.

A technology leader for fiber optic subsystems and network performance test systems, Finisar products enable high-speed communications for networking and storage applications over Ethernet Local Area Networks (LANs), Fiber Channel Storage Area Networks (SANs), and Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs).
