IBM PowerPC750CL / Tundra Tsi110™ System Solution

Industry-Leading IBM Host Processor and Tundra Host Bridge Targeted for Low Power/Low Cost Solutions

Singapore — May 10, 2007 — Nu Horizons Electronics Asia Pte Ltd., the wholly-owned subsidiary of Nu Horizons Electronics Corp., the global distributor of advanced technology semiconductor, display and system solutions, today announced the immediate availability of the low cost PPC750CL/Tsi110™ host processor/ host bridge system manufactured from two of their leading suppliers, IBM and Tundra Semiconductor. This ultra-low power, high performance combined solution will be exclusively distributed by Nu Horizons Electronics in Asia, as a competitively priced bundled solution.

The PPC750CL/Tsi110 is ideally suited for designs where power and cost are of primary concern. This system solution targets a myriad of applications including: consumer, networking, storage, imaging, security, automotive and industrial control, in addition to high volume applications such as set-top boxes, home gateways, video-over-IP, video surveillance and other multi-media applications.

The Tsi110 incorporates many power management features which support the various power saving modes implemented on PowerPC processors. These features also reduce active power dissipation by disabling unused ports and clocks. In addition, an integrated clock generator eliminates the need for external discrete clock devices, further reducing overall system power. The Tsi110 supports DDR2 memory, which consumes 50 percent less power that DDR - a significant factor for minimizing overall power consumption. IBM 750 CL features include: 500 MHz-1000 MHz clock frequencies, small 21mm package with aluminum lid for board space savings and footprint compatibility with 750FX, FL, GX & GL for easy product migration.
